Support your University and its enterprising students

If you haven’t heard the good news already, The University of Sheffield is in the finals of NUE (National University Entrepreneur) 2012 with one of our students, Will Bennett, and his business Star Sports Development Ltd. This is a sports retail business for squash and racketball through a physical shop, two websites, two tournament series and a festival. The competition was looking for the top UK businesses that have been inspired by the London 2012 Olympics.

Hopefully it won't be snowing in June!

Star Sports Development LTD will be presenting his final pitch at the Ready Steady GROW event which will be taking place on the 19th June at York Race Course. This event includes business development workshops, Sarah Dunwell from the CREATE Foundation as well as the announcement of the NUE 2012 Champion. This is also a great excuse to come and see the Olympic Torch Relay which will also be the event.

Why not come along and support Will?  The event is FREE and is from 2PM-5PM on the 19th June. For more information and to apply for tickets, check out the NUE website.
