USE Online Summer School launches

Have you been looking for something to do this summer that will help you become more employable? Want something that will fit around your summer job? Looking for an opportunity that you can carry out wherever you are in the world? If so why not try out the USE Summer School?

This will be the first year of the USE Online Summer School which aims to help you improve your enterprise and employability skills. As part of this you will learn about the basics of entrepreneurship. This includes ideas generation and how to assess your ideas, what the different legal structures are businesses there are and you will also learn how important enterprise is to the UK.

Forget the suntan... Enhance your CV

The Summer School will run from the 20th August to the 31st August and it will take roughly two days to complete. On each day, you will have a lesson (which will take about two hours to complete) followed by a small task and a reflective blog. By the end of the course, you will have produced a two page business scoping plan and a creative piece about enterprise. This activity will also count for the Sheffield Graduate Award.

This course is FREE to all current students and recent graduates (up to five years) of The University of Sheffield.  All you need to do is on the USE Summer School and we will then send you information on how to access our summer school.

I have registered with the course but did not receive any thing yesterday nor today.

I have also sent an email to Cics with my Muse longin as they requested.

    Why is that?

Hi Maria – it’s us you needed to send your MUSE login to, not CiCS :) It’s OK though as we should have already been able to add you to the system, based on your email address. Please go to http://enterprise.shef.ac.uk/summerschool and enter the same log in details you would to access MUSE. If you have any more problems accessing the course, please contact me on s.deakin@sheffield.ac.uk for technical support.

      All the best,

      Samantha
