Have you ever wanted to do something you can’t do like setting up a website or decorating your room? The Skills Exhibition which will be held on the 14th March 2018 at the Students’ Union Activity Zone is organised tailored to give you the opportunity to discover what other students can do that may be able to benefit you.
The Skills Exhibition is expected to demonstrate many skills from jewelery to photography with some exhibitors selling their products and services.
As part of this, we are holding an upcycling workshop which will be run by the Stitch Soc to allow you to gain a new skill FOR FREE on the day from 2PM to 3PM in View Room 6, Students’ Union. For this session, you are suggested to bring your own clothes that you would like to upcycle. You can expect to learn how to patch clothes, sew a rip, sew a button and other things that you would like to learn.
There will also be a session with an entrepreneur from 5PM to 6PM at LT10 of the Hicks Building. This session will compromise of an introduction to using skills to start a venture, a pitching workshop and a Q&A session with Will from Mak Tok. There are prizes to be won for this session.
If you want to come to the exhibition, just turn up. However, due to limited spaces, we need you to sign up for the 2 sessions happening throughout the day. Come and join us at the Skills Exhibition! Register now for both activities here
