If you have an idea- you will pitch it to the rest of the group and then form smaller groups to work on specific socially driven projects. Don’t worry if you haven’t got an idea, you can still listen to other people’s and select what idea you want to work on collaboratively.
Idea Development / Session 2 / 27 October, 5.15pm – 8pm
In this second session you will form working groups and start to work on presented projects from Session 1. Using our storyboard technique, your group will develop the social idea further and assess whether it could become a viable social enterprise.
Business Planning / Session 3 / 03 November, 5.15pm – 8pm
In this third session, you will develop your elevator pitch (which will be used in session five). You will also develop your pitching, video editing and business planning skills which will allow you to communicate the merits of your business idea’s social impact, vision and values.
Measuring Social Impact / Session 4 / 10 November, 5.15pm – 8pm
In this fourth session you will learn how to assess the needs of the client group you are looking to work with and determine what is needed to solve your social problem. The session will also touch upon measuring social impact and what to prepare for when starting a social enterprise.
Celebration Event / Session 5 / 17 November, 5.15pm – 8pm
In this final session, you will pitch your idea to a panel of judges and hear about all of the other inspiring projects that people have been working on over the previous four sessions. This final session will act as a celebration event and will also provide you with further information on funding and how you can make your business proposal a reality!
