Are you an Undergraduate Social Science Student who wants to be a future leader?

Would you like to show that you have leadership skills on your CV?

The University of Sheffield Enterprise (USE) has developed a leadership workshop that includes the tools and resources that will help you enhance your leadership skills. These include: identifying your own skills and knowing what your strengths and weaknesses are; creative problem solving; best practices for negotiation and how to communicate with members of your team.

You will also get an opportunity to hear from one of the entrepreneurs from the University of Sheffield Enterprise (USE) and use your authentic problem solving skills to solve a real problem that she faced.  This will also be an opportunity to hear how she built her leadership skills and continuously improves her own skills.

Interested in taking part? The event is taking place with on the 3rd of May from 1pm to 5pm in Room K14  in Hicks Building and includes refreshments.

Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur Visa Drop-in Session

If you are a non-EEA international graduate, this scheme gives you the opportunity to set up your own business in the UK after finishing your studies.

This route is for new graduates of The University of Sheffield who wish to develop a credible business idea and entrepreneurial skills in order to establish a business in the UK. If you have a business proposal, you can compete to join the scheme.

If you are successful, and endorsed by the University, you will be able to apply for a Tier 1 (Graduate Entreprenuer) visa for 12 months, during which time you will have the opportunity to develop your new business idea.  The visa may be extended for a further 12 months if significant progress is made.
