Entrepreneurs Boot Camp 2012

The Entrepreneurs Boot Camp can help! It is an intensive course providing the expert advice you need to get started.

Business Coaching

We offer frequent group business coaching sessions which allow you to develop your business ideas and make your ideas happen. All sessions are run through Sheffield City Council's Solutions for Business team.

Skill Build

Some skills are priceless in business. The knowledge you'll gain from these workshops will be invaluable. Learn how to do your tax returns properly, how to close a sale and listen to influential, successful speakers sure to get you fired up with enthusiasm.

First Steps Fund

You could get up to £1000 to help fund your business idea. This Proof of Concept grant gives you £250 to get started. Once you’ve proved your concept, you can apply for a growth fund of up to £750 (£1000 in total) to help you develop your business further.

Social Innovation Lab

Do you have an idea for a socially-focused project that will benefit the community? Or do you want to find out more about social innovation and social enterprise? The Social Innovation Lab starts 24th October 2011 and runs over three evenings, ending with a group pitch evening, where the best ideas can secure a whole package of further support and funding via enrollment on the Social Innovation Accelerator.

Student Union Stands

From September 2011, you can book out stands for enterprise activities in the Student’s Union. This could be for an activity that you are carrying out or even to trade your business from. You can book up to 6 times a year, between 10-4 and it will cost £10 per session.

Learn how research ideas can be turned into a commercial venture with the BioTechnology Young Entrepreneurs Scheme (YES). This three day event, comprising of training, mentoring and a business planning competition, offers you the chance to develop a business idea, improve your skills and win up to £1,000 cash.
