AISEC is the world’s largest youth-led organisation, enabling students to volunteer and work abroad in over 110 countries.

They develop responsible, global leaders by providing a self-driven, practical learning experience.

AIESEC Sheffield is another of our resident entrepreneurial student groups, part of an international organisation that aims to ‘promote global understanding’ and create leaders through international exchange, conferences and careers driven programmes.

The GoGlobal programme gives you the chance to volunteer, gain work experience or take the first step on your career path in one of 110 different countries, so you really are spoilt for choice – this means you can develop some great professional skills and get to grips with a new culture and community.

Join to Lead, another AIESEC scheme, is perfect if you’re interested in business or management; it’s really just what the label suggests, providing the opportunity for you to join AIESEC and lead in one of their team roles. This is a great chance to gain experience leading a team, managing projects and getting stuck into the running of a huge organisation.

AIESEC also runs tonnes of training and workshops for its members to maximise their skill development and create top-class candidates for the world of work.

If you are interested in becoming a member of AIESEC, or taking part in the Go Global programme, e-mail a member of the team at sheffield@aiesec.co.uk

  • AIESEC involvement is one of many extra-curricular activities and awards that the University can include in your Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR) – a new and comprehensive record of your university achievements, which recognises extra-curricular achievement as well as academic learning. Further information about the HEAR can be found at www.sheffield.ac.uk/ssid/hear.
