12 December 2016 - 11:17 am A year as an Intern
So it’s been a while since I’ve written a blog; partly because we’ve been off over the summer, and partly because I’ve been so busy working on several projects! Some have already happened, and some are still in the pipelines- watch this space for more news.
Now that I’ve been an intern for almost a year now, I thought I’d write a blog about what I’ve actually been doing, other than ‘sitting at the front desk.’ The shifts range from rather quiet, to really hectic, and can even have you running all over town.
22 December 2015 - 10:52 am Christmas 2.0
Christmas. As I write this, it is exactly 2 weeks away (yay)! I am personally counting down the days at uni until I can go home: food and warmth from Mum and Dad’s house and a much-deserved rest before exams start in January.
20 December 2015 - 10:44 am Wrapping up the Autumn Semester
It’s been a very busy semester here at USE and just before we leave for the holidays, I’d like to share my thoughts of my first few months as an Entrepreneurship Intern. I’ve made awesome friends, got to know innovative businesses and started working on my own project.
6 January 2015 - 3:35 pm Goodwill to all mankind…
So…another Christmas is over (please try to not be too irritated that I started a sentence with ‘so’ and keep reading). As I reflect on its aftermath: an expanded waistline, exciting gifts and gadgets to play with, and a general glow of benevolence from spending time with good friends and family, I feel a bit sad. I don’t want it to be over, I love Christmas time. It’s not the gifts (although obviously that’s nice), or the gluttony that I will miss. It’s that warm fuzzy feeling, a sense of belonging and shared experience that I am longing to hang on to.
This past 12 months I have become increasingly engaged with the concept of community and what it really means to all you inspiring young entrepreneurs who we support here at University of Sheffield Enterprise. Continue reading “Goodwill to all mankind…” »
24 December 2014 - 4:31 pm Time for Christmas Crackers!
Do you guys realise what‘s coming in only a week‘s time? Christmas! I think we already can sense the Christmas spirit, especially here in Sheffield, not forgetting USE and our innovative and fabulous Christmas tree at the reception, hehe.
Anyway, today I‘m here to present you few Christmas cracker jokes that I found equally dumb and hilarious.
Here they are!

So it’s that time of the year again, when shops fill up with Christmas trees, tiny Santas and fairy-lights galore, and everyone is starting to get excited about Christmas! It is also the time when, at USE, we are getting ready for our very own, annual Christmas Market! 12 February 2013 - 4:59 pm Investing in people
Over the Christmas period there were loads of festive TV programmes available to watch, as well as many opportunities to curl up on the sofa in a onesie and catch up on programmes that I’d not had chance to watch during my busy first semester. Thanks to my passion for both rehabilitation and enterprise two of these programmes especially caught my eye – Bad Santas, and Russell Brand: From addiction to recovery.
