25 April 2016 - 1:11 pm The Social Entrepreneur – it’s a change of lifestyle, not of status

After delving a bit into the concept of social entrepreneurship, I have learned one mesmerising fact: it makes the world bigger and smaller at the same time.

22 December 2015 - 10:52 am Christmas 2.0

Christmas. As I write this, it is exactly 2 weeks away (yay)! I am personally counting down the days at uni until I can go home: food and warmth from Mum and Dad’s house and a much-deserved rest before exams start in January.

26 October 2015 - 12:40 pm Developing new ideas through enterprise

One of the most energising aspects of universities is the way in which they afford space for developing new ideas, lines of thinking and challenges to the existing accepted position on many things. Continue reading “Developing new ideas through enterprise” »

25 August 2015 - 2:44 pm The desire to create profit…

“Life is an act of consumption. To live is to consume. And the human beings on your planet are merely resource waiting to be converted into capital. And this entire enterprise is just a small part in a vast and beautiful machine defined by evolution, desire to a simple purpose… to create profit.” (Balem Abrasax, Jupiter Ascending)

It’s semester 2 already, which can only mean one thing…THE INTERN IS BACK!

27 March 2014 - 10:01 am Enactus. What a funny word.

The time has finally come. I’ve been itching to write something about Enactus for so long but thought I should perhaps wait for the right moment. Heaven knows my family and friends are probably sick of the word by now (at least the remaining few friends I have who aren’t in Enactus) so that was another consideration. I’d quite like to keep my family and friends so bludgeoning them over the heads with Enactus 24/7 is something I’ve attempted to refrain from. However, turns out you guys have been typing Enactus in that little search box quite a lot recently so I’ve decided to throw caution to the wind and risk losing my loved ones by serenading writing about Enactus and why it’s just about the best thing since Pepsi Max made their bottles bigger for the same price (my true second love in life: Pepsi). What is Enactus? What do we do? Is it a Harry Potter spell? All good questions, let me explain.  Continue reading “Enactus. What a funny word.” »
