Do you think one of your students is the most enterprising student at the University of Sheffield? Nominations are invited for the first University of Sheffield Enterprise Award.

Two awards will be awarded for the most enterprising Undergraduate student and most enterprising post graduate students from the University of Sheffield.  The winners in each category will receive £500.

The University of Sheffield has a long reputation of being a civic University, and is very proud of its strong links with the local community. Here at USE, we have been working very hard this year to improve links with local businesses, and encouraging them to get involved in our activities. For instance, our Skill Build speakers are for the most part external, and relish the opportunity to come face to face with students to help the leaders of tomorrow improve their business and life skills. The day of the Semi-Finals began after what could only be described as a tense and anxious night for all 21 of us. We were up against Gdansk University-Poland; Loyola College- India and Tomsk State University- Russia. From what we had seen of our competition from the previous day we knew we were in an extremely tough league, but we also knew we were a solid team and still had the belief that we could make it.
