22 September 2015 - 2:47 pm An Ex-Fresher’s Guide to Enterprise
Hello everyone! So, it’s my last week in the USE office. Sad times! My projects are being finished off, my endless sheets of paper are being organised and I’ve eaten a few too many of the homemade brownies I’d supposedly bought in for everyone else!
I can’t quite believe that nine weeks of work are coming to an end. Where has the time gone?! With only a few hours until I say goodbye to the Enterprise Zone until September, my mind is filled with thoughts of Intro Week; the bright-eyed freshers moving into Endcliffe, the long-awaited return of Pop Tarts (oh how I’ve missed you) and the rather daunting start of my third and final year. Help!
22 July 2015 - 4:17 pm Round Up of all the Enterprise Entertainment News @ USE
It’s been a while since I wrote my first blog post and I am itching to share with you all the latest news and goings on here at USE. I am settling into my role quite well and since those first few hairy weeks of getting my head around what enterprise is, it’s been full throttle, with lots of exciting and interesting events and projects…
19 March 2015 - 10:19 am Well of course, it’s “A Matter of Course”!
And so a second week has passed since you joined us at the “A matter of Course” event here at the Enterprise Zone… Or maybe you weren’t here? Fear not, I would love to tell you exactly what happened on that thoroughly enterprising Tuesday afternoon.
It was a cold winter day, and yet our hearts were warmed by the excitement and anticipation of the things to follow. It all started at 12:30, when lovely food and the first few of our guests arrived at the Zone. The chewing and chatter begun in earnest, as we were readying ourself for the event commencement. At 1 pm as we were all full of food for both thought and belly, we started our discussion on Enterprise. Continue reading “Well of course, it’s “A Matter of Course”!” »

2 December 2014 - 11:44 am A Winter Wonderland Wander
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas… and baby it is indeed cold outside… So why not come inside, join our merry USE interns, and browse at this year’s Winter Wonderland Christmas market!
16 November 2014 - 1:22 pm Who wants to be an Entrepreneur?
This is a question that we seem to ask quite a bit here at USE. However, in an up and coming event you will be able to ask a group of people who have been there and done that, why they became an entrepreneur. What are the advantages and disadvantages of working for yourself and my favourite question- what they think is their biggest achievement? Continue reading “Who wants to be an Entrepreneur?” »
4 November 2014 - 2:29 pm USE Christmas Market… Will there be a reindeer!?
So it’s that time of the year again, when shops fill up with Christmas trees, tiny Santas and fairy-lights galore, and everyone is starting to get excited about Christmas! It is also the time when, at USE, we are getting ready for our very own, annual Christmas Market! This event is a great opportunity for all enterprising and creative students/societies, who are ready to let the world know about what they do.
29 October 2014 - 3:24 pm Did I HEAR this right? A quick ‘heads-up’ on HEARable activities at USE
It’s this time of the year again, when new students arrive at Sheffield. They’re full of freshers flu and excitement (and they are spreading both in all directions!). Are you one of those students? Or maybe you’ve been in Sheffield for a while, but just don’t know what to get involved in? If either of these apply to you, then read on, as there are many things that your new/old uni has to offer. Continue reading “Did I HEAR this right? A quick ‘heads-up’ on HEARable activities at USE” »

21 August 2014 - 3:58 pm Lego is AWESOME
Everyone loves Lego right? I think I have become obsessed with Lego ever since I was born (ok I might have had Duplo for the first couple of years), I think it might be that the only thing that stops you from building is your imagination or in my case running out of bricks. Continue reading “Lego is AWESOME” »
