It’s been quite some time since I wrote a blog. So just to update you, my event, Liberating Potential, was a huge success and is going to happen agin next year too. So keep your eyes open.
So in this blog I am going to write about the top five things I learned this year as the Student Marketing Intern at University of Sheffield Enterprise.

When I was given the task of facilitating the Get SET sessions I admittedly didn’t think it be more than turning up and getting paid. I definitely didn’t think it would help me develop some vital skills for my future – of course I was wrong.

Exams are over and the Spring Semester is about to begin – are you feeling the pressure? My first semester as USE intern has come to an end and it has gone by so quickly! I’ve had a lot of fun and learnt a lot of new things.

Christmas. As I write this, it is exactly 2 weeks away (yay)! I am personally counting down the days at uni until I can go home: food and warmth from Mum and Dad’s house and a much-deserved rest before exams start in January.

I spent a lovely Tuesday morning at the USE as part of the “Taste of Work” scheme. I was extremely happy when I received the email from the “Taste of Work Team” telling me that I will be working at the USE.
A tale about myself: My name is Baiju Shah, currently in my first year studying a Bsc. in Economics. I come from the beautiful country Kenya, which is famous for its runners, amazing wildlife and scenery, as well as the warm hearts of all the citizens. Apart from that, it is also a country known for its innovation and the emerging market. There is tremendous innovation that goes in Kenya, one of the most famous tech innovations in the world is known as “MPESA” which is the way most Kenyans transfer money from one another without necessarily owning a bank account or debit card, just their mobile phones!
